The Holy Qur'an

The Qur'an is the central religious text of Islam, believed by Muslims to be a revelation from Allah delivered to the Prophet Muhammad over twenty-three years beginning in 610 CE. It is composed of 114 surahs (chapters) and 6,236 ayat (verses).

This edition presents the canonical Uthmani Arabic text with a Latin transliteration and two of the most respected public-domain English translations: Abdullah Yusuf Ali's poetic 1934 rendering and Marmaduke Pickthall's 1930 'Meaning of the Glorious Qur'an' — the first English translation produced by a Muslim convert.
