Our Mission

Many of the world's greatest literary works are in the public domain but remain difficult to access in well-formatted digital editions. Hindi literature in particular lacks good digital reading experiences. Kafka aims to change that by providing beautifully typeset editions with a premium reading experience — completely free.

The Collection

Our library includes works in Hindi, English, Urdu, Sanskrit, and many other languages. From Premchand's short stories to Shakespeare's plays, from Ghalib's ghazals to Tolstoy's novels — we aim to be the best place to read classic literature online.

All books go through our processing pipeline to ensure consistent formatting, proper chapter structure, and accurate metadata. We use the Canonical Book Model (CBM) format to represent books with rich semantic structure.
