Have His Carcase

Have His Carcase (1932) finds Harriet Vane on a walking holiday when she discovers a dead man on a rock, his throat slashed with a razor. The case seems impossible — the tide has washed away all evidence — and Harriet reluctantly teams up with Lord Peter Wimsey to crack an alibi involving coded letters, a gigolo, a Russian émigré, and the mathematics of blood coagulation.
